Alpine designed its Status System components for high-resolution audio playback. Their Status Seriesdigital receiver, amp, speakers, and subs were designed to work together and play your 192kHz/24bit digital music streaming files with high-quality, studio-level purity and sonic fidelity.
Ready for high-resolution
Alpine crafted their HDZ-65 6-1/2" Status Hi-Res 2-way car speakers for listeners in search of excellent audio quality in the car. Using many of the same design and material elements as their flagship F#1 Status speakers, this speaker optimizes the woofer and tweeter for near-perfect sound from premium sources, like high-resolution audio files.
Optimized for Alpine
These Status Series speakers make a great addition to any high-powered system, thanks to power-handling up to 100 watts RMS, but you can unlock their full potential by pairing them with Status System components, which Alpine designed with high-resolution audio in mind. Alpine uses a carbon composite cone for consistency across the speaker's ultra-wide frequency range, plus a special double gathered-edge surround, which helps minimize distortion and promote accuracy.
Prioritized fit
Alpine wants to help more customers enjoy the pleasure of high-resolution audio in their cars, so they've designed these speakers to fit in the factory locations in many vehicles.

Size Note:Alpine describes this speaker size as 6½, but because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6½ speaker, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size as 6¾. Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.
Cone Material:The same carbon composite cone material is used for the woofer and tweeter, aiding the smooth transition between the drivers.
Phase Plug:The tweeters use an aluminum phase plug in the center of the cone to help produce a smooth, flat off-axis frequency response by preventing the high frequency sound waves from one side of the cone from interfering with sound waves from the other side of the cone.
