Features

System Overview: The Alpine PSS-24WRA is a complete sound upgrade package for your compatible model Jeep that includes a KTP-445U 4-channel compact power amplifier, for powering the 4 main speakers; a PWE-S8 8" powered subwoofer, along with a remote level control for adjusting the bass level from the front of the vehicle; a pair of SPV-65X-WRA 6-1/2" component speakers with mounting pods for the front dash location; a pair of SPV-65-JLT 6-1/2" component speakers for the rear soundbar; and pre-configured wiring harnesses allowing for complete "plug-and-play" integration into the factory wiring. The PSS-24WR can be used with a factory (non-amplified) or aftermarket headunit.

Compatibility: The Alpine PSS-24WRA upgrade sound package is designed specifically for installation in the following vehicles:

• 2018-Up: Jeep Wrangler 4-door models with factory non-amplified sound systems.
• 2019-Up: Jeep Wrangler 2-door models with non-scissor front seats and factory non-amplified sound systems.
• 2020-Up: Jeep Gladiator models with factory non-amplified sound systems.

4-Channel Amplifier

Amplifier Overview: The Alpine KTP-445U Head Unit Power Pack is a power upgrade amplifier that allows you to add higher output and more dynamic response to your aftermarket or factory installed car stereo system (without factory amplifiers). The KTP-445U amplifies your aftermarket or factory head unit's power output, resulting in increased power over the original head unit's built-in amplifier. It's small and compact at only 7.875" (w) x 1.5" (h) x 2.5625" (d) and comes pre-installed onto the subwoofer mounting bracket for installation under the passenger front seat. The KTP-445U comes equipped with RCA and auto-sensing speaker level inputs.

45 Watt x 4 Channel Amplifier: The Alpine KTP-445U Head Unit Power Pack employs a 45 watt x 4 channel amplifier. The amplifier offers an unbelievably low noise floor, taking extra care to ensure a clean signal path, with no extraneous interference. The end result is a 1 Watt Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 82dB or better. Uniquely, the amplifier distortion actually decreases at higher frequencies, resulting in a clean and clear signal where your ear is most sensitive to distortion (< 0.03% THD+N @ 1W; 1% THD+N @ rated power).

CEA-2006 Compliant: The specifications given by Alpine for the built-in amplifier comply with the CEA-2006 mobile amplifier power testing and measurement standards from the CEA (Consumer Electronics Association). All manufacturers who comply with the standard can display the CEA-2006 logo on their product.

Controls: The Alpine KTP-445U Head Unit Power Pack provides independent controls for the Front & Rear inputs.

• Front & Rear Gains: The Power Pack provides simple variable gain controls (speaker level: 0.5-10V, low-level: 0.2-4V) for flexibility and a wide variety of system applications.
• Front & Rear HPF: High-Pass selectable switches for the amplifier's Front & Rear inputs allow frequency filtering for a wide variety of speakers. Choose "Full-Range" or a selectable range (60Hz, 80Hz, 120Hz) to fine-tune your crossover points (-12dB/oct.).
• Configurable Inputs: On the bottom panel of the Power Pack there are selectable input options to accommodate Speaker-Level (0.5V-10V) or RCA (0.2V-4V) inputs.
• 4Ch/2Ch Modes: Selectable 2-Channel & 4-Channel options give you the control to determine source inputs, and can eliminate the need for Y-adapters.

Mounting: The Alpine KTP-445U Head Unit Power Pack comes pre-attached to a mounting bracket, allowing both it and the powered subwoofer to be neatly mounted underneath the passenger front seat.

Powered Subwoofer

Auto Turn-on: If using the speaker level input, an automatic circuit turns the amplifier on when it senses an input signal. When using the line level inputs you must also use the remote turn on lead supplied with the included wiring interface harnesses.

Low Pass Filter: The amp has a built-in low-pass filter, variable from 50 to 150 Hz.

Speaker Level Input: A speaker level input harness is included, making it easier to add the amplifier to a factory radio or to a receiver with no preamp outputs.

Wired Remote: Using the included wired remote you can easily adjust the bass output level from the driver's seat (or wherever you mount the remote). The range is 0 to -20 dB, relative to the gain setting on the subwoofer chassis.

Controls:

• Gain: rotary control; 0.2-4.0 volts line level; 0.5-10 volts speaker level
• Low Pass Filter: rotary control; 50-150 Hz
• Phase: two position switch; 0° or 180°
• Power Mode: two position switch; SP IN (speaker level input, auto sensing) or REM (wired remote turn-on)

Front Speakers

Front Component Speakers: The Alpine SPV-65X-WRA speakers include two 6.5" woofers, with a Polypropylene cone and a rubber surround, and 1" Teteron dome tweeters. The speakers carry an IP55 weatherproof rating, making them impervious to dust and low-pressure water spray.

Mounting: The Alpine component speakers are designed so that the woofers can be mounted into the included speaker pods, which replace the factory lower dash speakers. The tweeters can be mounted into the factory upper dash locations using the included adapter brackets.

Wiring: The Alpine woofers have the same input plug as the Jeep factory woofers, so the factory harness is directly compatible. The Alpine tweeters plug into the outputs of the included in-line tweeter crossovers. No cutting into the factory wiring is required.

Tweeter Level: The crossovers have two tweeter level output options, 0 dB (flat) and +3 dB. Connect the tweeter the the wire labeled with your preference.

Rear Speakers

Rear Component Speakers: The Alpine SPV-65-JLT speakers include two 6.5" woofers, with a polymer cone and a rubber surround, and 1" Teteron dome tweeters. Durable premium grilles are included. The speakers carry an IP55 weatherproof rating, making them impervious to dust and low-pressure water spray.

Mounting: Alpine's SPV-65-JLT component speakers are designed for 2018 and later Jeep Wrangler/Wrangler Unlimited models (JL body style) and 2020 and later Jeep Gladiator models. Each woofer/tweeter pair in this component set is mounted to a plate, which includes a grille covering both. They mount in the soundbar location.

Wiring: These Alpine speakers have the same input plug as the Jeep factory woofers, so the factory harness is directly compatible. No cutting into the factory wiring is required.

Modification: The panels behind the factory grilles must be modified to accommodate the larger Alpine woofers. A template to mark the cut patterns is included. Once the soundbar is modified, the factory speakers cannot be reinstalled.
