Good looks, great bass

Alpine's PrismaLink S2-Series subwoofer enclosures combine great Alpine bass with stunning visual appeal. Integrated RGB lighting bars make your system look as good as it sounds while rugged built-in S2-Series subwoofers deliver the sonic goods. The rugged MDF enclosure with carpet covering stands up to the stresses of car life, and its wedge-shaped design allows it to fit in more places.

Lighting and multi-sub options

The pre-wired dual RGB lighting bars can be controlled by the included wireless remote or through the screen of the Alpine ILX-W670 receiver (sold separately). You can link multiple S2-S12B enclosures with the optional KTX-LK12 bracket for a kaleidoscopic multi-sub system. For the final touch, a twist-lock mounting system makes it easy to add Alpine's KTE-12G.3 speaker grille (sold separately).

Big bass from a 12" sub

This S2-SB12 features Alpine's S2-W12D4 subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils wired for 2-ohm impedance. Its carbon fiber/polypropylene cone and HAMR multi-roll rubber surround deliver powerful bass. It handles up to 600 watts of RMS power (1800 watts peak), so you can feed it plenty of power.

Features

Driver: The Alpine S2-SB12 loaded enclosure features a single S2-W12D4 10", dual 4-ohm voice coil subwoofer driver. The new S-Series driver features Alpine's High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (H.A.M.R) surround and an improved voice coil that allows the subwoofer to handle increased power over previous versions. A high strength frame is designed to withstand the rigors of the new S-Series motor, while frame leg vents and a vented back plate help keep the sub driver running cool. The driver also features two strontium ferrite magnets stacked together for increased motor strength and excursion. Both 4-ohm voice coils are internally wired in parallel for a single 2-ohm connection.

Power Handling: The S2-SB12 can handle up to 600W RMS (1800W peak).

Enclosure: The S2-SB12's sealed enclosure design has been optimized for use with the S2-W12D4 driver, producing deep, powerful bass from a small enclosure. It features a rigid, heavy-duty MDF construction that's wrapped in attractive black carpet, with a smooth black and silver trim on the front of the enclosure.

RGBW Lighting: The Alpine S2-SB12 enclosure includes RGBW lighting built into the enclosure trim, providing 12 static colors and 4 dynamic lighting modes. Control of the RGBW lighting can be made using the included hand-held IR remote control. The S2-SB12 RGBW lighting can also be controlled via a connected Alpine iLX-W670 headunit (sold separately). A 6" connection harness provides the +12V and Ground wires that get attached to the vehicle electrical system for powering the lighting. A third wire on the harness attaches directly to an Alpine iLX-W670 (if used) for control of the RGBW lighting. 3-Pin RGBW In and Out ports on the rear of the enclosure let you daisy-chain multiple Alpine S2-SB12 enclosures together for RGBW control from a single remote control or iLX-W670 headunit.

Enclosure Linking (Optional): The S2-SB12's unique design allows it to be linked to an additional S2-SB12 (sold separately) using the optional KTX-LK12 linking kit. This features an aluminum rear link-plate and an attractive, steel-reinforced ABS front linking bracket that securely locks the two enclosures together.

Subwoofer Grille (Optional): The Alpine S2-SB12 does not include a grille for the driver, but can be used with the optional Alpine KTE-12G.3 steel mesh grille (sold separately).

Terminals: A single rear-panel terminal cup houses a pair of spring terminals for connecting speaker wire up to 12 ga. in size. Both of the driver's voice coils are wired in parallel for a single 2-ohm load on the terminals.
