When you're trying to upgrade your system for bigger bass, sometimes you're stuck with small spaces to work with. Alpine's S-Series shallow subwoofer enclosures are their smallest sub boxes yet, made to fit into spots other subs can't. 

Advanced design

The SS-SB12 features a 12-inch S-Series shallow subwoofer with an innovative front-mounted neodymium motor design that reduces speaker depth while preserving cone movement. The rugged polypropylene cone handles up to 300 watts RMS (600 watts peak). With an IPX-rated water-resistant polymer enclosure, this box stands up to tough conditions. You can adjust the enclosure's four mounting brackets to make installation easier.

Overview: The Alpine SS-SB12 subwoofer enclosure features a single Alpine S-Series 12" Shallow-Mount subwoofer mounted in a compact, down-firing enclosure. This combination provides deep, clear bass while taking up minimal space in your vehicle.

Enclosure: The sealed enclosure is made of a durable polymer composite, providing exceptional acoustic efficiency and deep powerful bass. The enclosure's low-profile, down-firing construction allow the sub to be mounted in tight spaces.

Mounting: The SS-SB12 subwoofer enclosure includes four mounting brackets that can be installed in each corner of the enclosure. The brackets can be oriented facing out the sides of the enclosure or out the ends, providing flexible mounting options. Mounting hardware is included.

Speaker Terminals: A single pair of spring-posts are mounted on one side of the enclosure in a recessed terminal cup, accepting wire up to 12-gauge. The 12" subwoofer's dual 4Ω voice coils are internally wired to present a 2Ω load at the spring posts.

Power: The Alpine SS-SB12 enclosed subwoofer can handle 300W RMS (600W peak).

12" Subwoofer Driver: The pre-installed Alpine S-Series 12" driver features a front-mounted magnet motor, allowing the enclosure to have a shallow footprint while providing deep, clear bass. The subwoofer driver features a powerful neodymium magnet and a 2" dual-gap voice coil structure, providing 22mm of peak-to-peak linear excursion. Alpine's Gen2 DD-Linear Magnetic Circuit technology provides exceptional control over the motor, resulting in precise bass control and lower distortion.
