EmpirBus™ Connect 50

The Connect 50 DCM is a more compact version of the NXT™ DCM device, designed for smaller or less complex installations of the EmpirBus digital switching system. The Connect 50 unit includes the durability and competence of the NXT DCM device and delivers outstanding cost/channel ratio without sacrificing important functionality. Connect 50 can also be integrated to work with other DCMs or master control units in larger system installations, if desired.

The outputs have been fitted with high-accuracy current feedback that enables real-time readout of the current consumption per channel. A new design of the NMEA 2000^® network connection provides a galvanically isolated connection — without the need for a powered bus for the network. The power consumption from the bus is zero for the Connect 50 unit.

The Connect 50 DCM comes as standard with 11 input channels and 20 output channels. As an option, it can be equipped with ports for additional galvanic isolated CAN and serial interface.

Reverse polarity on 4 channels is supplied as standard to control of tables, windows, hatches and more as well as capability for controlling and synchronizing window wipers. For applications where more reverse polarity control is needed, the Connect HPR™ distribution module offers 10 channels (18 amp) that can drive such functions as trim tab actuators, engine hatches, pumps and more.[
