The
JL Audio A60-H is an advanced, screenless
"hideaway" marine audio source unit engineered by
Garmin. It is designed for boaters who want a clutter-free dashboard. The unit mounts entirely out of sight inside a console, storage locker, or bulkhead, allowing you to control your audio through connected multifunction displays, remotes, or mobile apps.
The JL Audio A60-H acts as the central brain of a boat's sound system without taking up valuable helm real estate. Because it does not have a built-in screen or physical buttons on the face, it is completely "blind" hardware. Instead, it integrates directly with your boat's existing technology.
You can manage your music and settings using a compatible Garmin Chartplotter/MFD via NMEA 2000, the physical JL Audio R5 volume dial, or wirelessly through the Garmin Audio smartphone app and compatible quatix marine smartwatches. It features advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to tune audio performance automatically and protect connected equipment from damage.
-
Audio Configuration & Expansion: Features 4-Zone independent audio routing. This lets you control the volume levels or audio sources in four separate areas of the boat at the same time. It is equipped with line-level RCA preamp outputs and dedicated subwoofer outputs for external amplifiers.
-
Amplifier Output Power: Built with an integrated high-efficiency Class D amplifier. It is CTA-2006 compliant and delivers:
-
Continuous Power: 17 Watts RMS x 4 channels at a 4 Ohm speaker load (measured at 14.4V with less than 1% THD).
-
Peak Power: 22 Watts Peak x 4 channels at 4 Ohms (89 Watts total maximum dynamic power).
-
Wireless Connections: Employs advanced Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) audio streaming. This technology improves sound clarity from your smart devices while conserving phone battery life.
-
Wired Network Integration: Fully NMEA 2000 certified to hook into your boat's marine electronics network. This network connection unlocks the Speed vs. Volume feature, which uses the boat's GPS speed data to automatically raise the volume as you accelerate to overcome wind and engine noise.
-
Built-in Digital Tuners: Features a built-in DAB/DAB+ tuner for clear, static-free digital radio broadcasts, alongside traditional AM/FM and specialized marine Weather Band tuners. It is also SiriusXM-Ready for satellite radio compatibility.
-
Environmental Ruggedness: Engineered specifically for the harsh offshore environment with an IPX6 and IPX7 water-resistance rating across the entire chassis. It is fully protected against heavy water spray, rain, salt fog, high humidity, UV exposure, and extreme temperature shifts.
-
Physical Dimensions: Compact footprint measuring 5.11 inches (130 mm) high, 5.86 inches (149 mm) wide, and 2.50 inches (64 mm) deep. It weighs 1.22 lbs (560 grams).
-
Auxiliary Inputs: Includes a standard USB port for iPhone playback and charging, an RCA auxiliary audio input, and an integrated reverse backup camera video input with a dedicated trigger line.
