If your original subwoofer was a Dual 2-Ohm unit (52L7XS152), but your new amplifier layout functions best at a lower load, you can safely drop this Dual 1-Ohm kit directly into your existing metal frame and magnet motor structure.

The swap is purely mechanical and requires a standard 4mm Allen wrench:

Unbolt Top Hardware: Back out the perimeter bolts around the outer cosmetic trim ring, and remove the screws pinning down the lower spider landing to the basket frame.

Slide the Blown Cone Out: Pull the old, destroyed cone cartridge straight up and away from the subwoofer.

Debris Cleanout: Inspect the deep, round magnet gap. Use compressed air or heavy tape to fish out any remaining burnt coil wrap wire, ash, or dust particles.

Insert Alignment Shims: Flip the subwoofer on its side or face and slide the included alignment pins up through the Forced Air Cooling vents located on the back of the magnet structure. This creates a centered inner barrier walls guide inside the gap.

Drop in the 52L7XS151RK: Slide the fresh voice coil of the new kit down over the guide needles until the frame fits flush against the basket spider landing.
- Cross-Bolt and Complete: Secure the spider landing bolts down using an alternating crisscross pattern to maintain even tension. Slide the alignment needles out from the bottom vents, put the top rim back on, and wire it up to play.
